For B2B companies in Belgium & the Netherlands

Fractional CMO

Senior marketing leadership without the full-time price tag.

Most B2B companies don’t need another marketing manager.
They need someone who connects strategy, sales reality, and execution and turns marketing into pipeline.

That’s the role of a fractional CMO.

What is a Fractional CMO?

A fractional CMO is a senior marketing leader who works with your business part-time, embedded in your strategy and execution — usually 2 to 4 days per week, for a specific engagement period.

You get the strategic depth, commercial perspective and team leadership of a Chief Marketing Officer, without the full-time salary or overhead.

The engagement can be project-based (focused mandate with a clear start and end) or ongoing (around 3 days a week as part of your leadership team for as long as it adds value).

Whichever fits your reality.

When you need a fractional CMO

You’re likely a good fit if you recognise one or more of these:

  • Marketing feels like a collection of activities, not a system. Campaigns ship but pipeline doesn’t follow.
  • You have a marketing manager or freelancer, but no one is connecting strategy with commercial outcomes.
  • Your ICP is fuzzy. Sales says one thing, marketing another. Messaging is generic.
  • You’re entering a new market, pivoting positioning, or scaling up and the next 12 months need a sharper plan.
  • You want CMO-level thinking but a full-time hire is premature (or over budget).
  • You need someone who challenges, not just executes.

What I deliver

A fractional CMO engagement with me typically covers four interconnected areas; the same expertise from my services page, now embedded as your interim marketing leader:

Strategic clarity

A clear commercial growth system: priorities, choices, north-star metric, marketing roadmap. We replace scattered activity with focus.

Sharper positioning

Deep work on ICP, buyer personas, value proposition and messaging — choices sales, marketing and management can actually use.

GTM & pipeline

Go-to-market design, demand generation, funnel logic and sales-marketing alignment. The output: predictable, qualified pipeline.

AI-augmented execution

Practical AI in your marketing workflows: research, briefing, content, analysis. Faster cycles, smarter output, without the hype.

How a typical engagement works

  • Discovery (2–3 weeks)
Deep dive into your business, market, customers, current marketing reality. Honest audit of what’s working and what isn’t.
  • Foundation (4–8 weeks)
We rebuild the strategic core: ICP, value proposition, GTM, commercial growth system. You walk out with a roadmap your whole team can execute against.
  • Embedded execution
I’m part of your team, typically 2–4 days a week. Leading marketing, coaching your people, holding agencies accountable, reporting to the board and keeping marketing aligned with other departments like sales, product and finance.

This can be a focused project (6–9 months with a clear endpoint) or an ongoing fractional role (often around 3 days a week, part of your leadership team for as long as it adds value).
  • Optional transition
If and when you’re ready to take leadership in-house or hire a full-time CMO, we document, train, and gradually transfer.
Until then, I stay embedded as long as it adds value.

Best fit

B2B companies in Belgium and the Netherlands, typically SMEs or mid-market organisations between
20 and 250 FTE and a revenue between 10 – 50 million, often founder-led or with a recent leadership change.

Industries are diverse (technology, professional services, construction, hospitality, sports, real estate), but the pattern is consistent:
ambition is there, the marketing system isn’t yet.

Not the right fit if you’re looking for just an executional freelance marketeer, or a full-time hire from day one.
The fractional model works when you want senior thinking, not extra production capacity.
