Google Ads Quality Score Calculator
Estimate your Quality Score in minutes and see which of the three factors is inflating your cost per click.
How it works
Enter your setup. Enter the keywords you bid on, your expected CTR and your landing page URL; your current CPC and sector are optional. No account, no email.
The tool scores the three real factors. The AI tool fetches your live landing page and assesses it against your keywords, alongside expected clickthrough rate and ad relevance: the same three components Google uses.
Read the result, then fix the weakest factor. You get a 1 to 10 estimate, the tier per factor as Google reports it (below average, average, above average), an indicative bid suggestion and improvement tips per factor.
What’s behind the numbers
Google does not publish a Quality Score formula. It does confirm the three components: expected clickthrough rate, ad relevance and landing page experience. This calculator scores each component separately and reports the same tiers you see in the Quality Score columns of your own account.
The weighting comes from external research: reverse-engineering across more than 15,000 Google Ads accounts shows how heavily expected CTR, landing page experience and ad relevance each count towards the score. Those findings drive the estimate here, so treat the output as a grounded estimate rather than Google data.
The landing page factor uses your real page: the tool fetches it live and has AI assess content and relevance against the keywords you enter. A free account adds industry benchmarks (average CTR and CPC per sector, based on US accounts), score history and PDF export.
FAQ
How is Google Ads Quality Score calculated?
Google rates every keyword from 1 to 10 based on expected clickthrough rate, ad relevance and landing page experience, each marked below average, average or above average. The exact formula stays private. This calculator estimates the outcome with research-based weights, so you can diagnose a weak score per factor.
Does a higher Quality Score lower my cost per click?
Yes. Quality Score reflects the quality signals Google uses in the ad auction. With higher quality you need a lower bid for the same position, so the same budget buys more clicks. That is why the calculator pairs the score with an indicative bid suggestion.
Can I check my Quality Score before launching a campaign?
In Google Ads you only see a Quality Score once a keyword has enough impressions. This calculator needs no campaign data: it scores your keywords and landing page as they are today, which makes it usable before launch or for keywords where the column stays empty.
